Description
The Border Leicester fleece came from a local farm. A few years ago the Mercer County spinners and weavers Guild used a fleece from this same farm for a group project. We spun and then wove 2 shawls. They turned out very well. The mohair comes from a goat named Jasper who was a medium red. The blended roving was done by Stramba Fiber Mill in Wampum, PA. I spun some and I was very happy with the results. There are some bits of hay but it is easily picked out. In the picture of the 3 balls of yarn, this would be the darkest, on the right. This roving is easily spun and is suitable for spinning,blending,felting,art and can be used for primitive knitting.
