Chunky hand spun hand knitted Cowl
$99.00
Chunky hand spun hand knitted Cowl, locally raised, all natural brown Merino Sheep wool, processed at Oklahoma Mini Mill
Description
I’ve finished another cowl!! I saw this cowl in the “Outlander” series, set in 1750’s, and wanted to make one….I spun and knitted of gray Shetland Sheep wool…. and then sold it. Then I spun natural brown Merino wool – and sold it! Now I’m in love with cowls! So much easier than a scarf!
This cowl is from locally raised natural brown Merino Sheep. It comes from a farm near Purcell, Oklahoma owned by Dr. Robin Mantooth. She has such lovely soft fleeces, so when she came in to bring her fleeces to be processed, we bought some!
We processed it into roving. I spun it chunky and then knitted it. Lovely, soft, and so warm….if it’s too warm, just let it hang.🤓
The whole circle of the cowl is 60 inches, 8 inches wide and weighs 14.1ounces.
