Description
I have one skein of my chunky Navajo Plyed yarn. It is 26 yards and weighs 5.2 ounces. If I kept it, I would use it as an accent piece for a weaving or knitting project.
This yarn, we call “The Beast” because it has so many different fibers it it. We get the ends of fiber when we are cleaning out the Carding Machine and going from one customer to another (see picture). I take these and hand spin them. To keep from having the “barber pole effect”, I Navajo Ply it. It’s also called Chain Plying.
To give you an idea of the different fibers in this, I’ve marked some skein with the names of the fibers: Romedale, Cormo, Romney, Alpaca, Hemp, Shetland, Teeswater.
This are really one of a kind.
