Icelandic/Shetland Sheep cross, in rovings of a beautiful natural light moorit color.
We have a shearer that lives right down the road from us at Oklahoma Mini Mill. This fleece came from him. And the sheep lives down the road from him…locally raised.
I was interested in seeing what the fleece of Icelandic/Shetland cross would look and feel like, and I wasn’t disappointed! It is so much softer than I thought it would be. The roving is soft, but not too soft. It would spin up as outer wear or even rug yarn.
We’ve made it into 4 ounce bumps, and there are 5 of them
