Long Cowl, made of Camel and Alpaca. Hand spun chunky, hand knitted
Long Cowl (that can be doubled), made of Camel and Alpaca Hand spun chunky, hand knitted
At Oklahoma Mini Mill: So….I took our Camel roving blend (75% camel and 25% wool) and I decided to spin it.I was going to make it into a stocking cap, but the camel talked to me (😳) and said it was supposed to be used for something else(it was vague).
Did you know that Alpaca can come in 16 colors?!!
I had some absolutely lovely Huacaya Alpaca that I spun. The Alpaca were locally raised. It was ”True Black”. Then I spun some “Bay Black”, which is a deep brown. I plyed them together. It was so lovely that I showed it off to customers…but did I take a picture of it? NO! I did take a picture of the plyed yarn on the end of the cowel.
Have you figured out that I love to spin chunky!
Wow! This is a lot of words to say, “Hey! I made a long cowl!!” I used size 25 needles to knit it. It is just lovely and very soft and I may even add beads to the ends…but that’s another story…☺️
This is unique. The cowl weighs 15 ounces, and one-of-a-kind🤗
