About 1 in 1,000 Rambouillet (French Merino) sheep have black or gray wool, making this a very unique and hard to find wool. This wool is from the Erk Ranch in South Dakota, one of the top wool ranches in the United States. The wool is about 3 inches long, soft, and with a very nice crimp. The is light VM. The colors range from a black to light gray. Just let us know your preference and we will fill your order accordingly.
