I think I just went beyond making the trivet and into art…🤔
First, I need a mat to place the “WhirlyGigs” on. put the fiber thru the Needle Felting Machine several times to make a pre-felted mat.
You may ask, “What are WhirlyGigs?”, and you would be right to do so…It’s a device that helps us take the fiber off of the wheels on our Carding and Fiber Separator Machines.
After the pad is made, and the WhirlyGig bowl is full enough for variety, I lay out the pattern I want, and needlefelt it in. The whole mat is 100% reclaimed fiber!
This pad is about 14”X 9.5”, but it really is more of a triangle. It weighs 2.5 ounces. FYI: Luna (our rescue kitty) was there for moral support🤗❤️
