I think I just went beyond making the trivet and into art…🤔
But let me explain how I got to this😊
First, I need a mat to place the “WhirlyGigs” on. I found a video that shows us taking a scrap of fiber that we have processed. I put it thru the Needle Felting Machine several times to make a pre-felted mat.
You may ask, “What are WhirlyGigs?”, and you would be right to do so….so….I put in a video of how we get/make WhirlyGigs. It’s a device that helps us take the fiber off of the wheels on our Carding and Fiber Separator Machines.
After the pad is made, and the WhirlyGig bowl is full enough for variety, I lay out the pattern I want, and needlefelt it in.
This pad is about 14”X 14”, and weighs about 4 ounces. FYI: Maggie and Luna (our rescue kitties) were there for moral support🤗❤️
